Everything about Grotta Hotel was perfect. From being picked up from the airport by Dimitris, great location, fabulous rooms and views it was the perfect stay. I have to say the breakfast was amazing and the best l have enjoyed with delicious home made foods to enjoy. The hotel staff are amazing and guests are treated like family and you won’t want to leave. I’d recommend the seaview rooms and booking a few extra nights.

My husband and I loved our stay at Grotta! The hospitality was excellent. The reservation includes an amazing breakfast with a lot of tasty variety. It was wonderful to begin our day having a leisurely meal looking out at the village and sea. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great! We also enjoyed making use of the steam room and jacuzzi at the end of the day. We loved the location which was quiet and only a short walk from the village center.

We loved everything about the Grotta Hotel! The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They were cheerful and eager to help in any way they could. The hotel was not just clean it was immaculate! The location with a view of Apollo's Gate and the ocean along with its proximity to the Chora was perfect. The value was beyond belief with the clean, updated rooms and the DELICIOUS breakfast.

this hotel was the best all around hotel we ever stayed at during our extensive european trips. it checked off all the boxes. i can't say enough about the entire staff. they all love working at the grotta hotel and it shows. they were all very friendly, genuinely cared about every guest, and very accommodating. the enormous buffet breakfast was to die for. it varied every day and the food was mostly homemade. the hotel was spotless. the rooms were spacious. the spa area was beautiful and very relaxing. they supplied towels and umbrellas for the pool and beach. you can't beat the view from the rooftop lounge. we used the laundry service for the first time ever at a hotel. it was great. the clothes came back clean, folded nicely, and very timely. it's a short walk to town. i'm so glad that a person i met on zoom recommended this hotel. it's the best.

Grotta Hotel lived up to its high ratings. Rooms were comfy and clean. Oh, just so you know, the key needs to be inserted and deck doors closed for the AC to work. We learned that’s how hotels work in Greece but it was all new to us. While the comments about Mamas breakfast are all true and valid, I would like to give a shout out to Graciella and the dinner menu. My husband has high standards for food and he’s still talking about the amazing dinners at the hotel. All in all, it was an amazing stay and staff went above and beyond. You won’t be disappointed. And we LOVED the cats! Thank you for making our Anniversary celebration even more special.

The hotel staff treated us like family. Anything we needed, anything we asked about was easily provided, and their friendly nature was warm and caring. The room was comfortable and very clean, the breakfast was extraordinary and dinner and/or drinks was very relaxing and enjoyable. We could not have asked for a better hotel or have been treated any nicer. Besides that, walking to and from the town/port to catch a bus or go shopping, dinner, etc. was so enjoyable as the hotel sits on a small hill and it was a fun experience to go for that walk daily. The sunsets were so amazing and could be viewed from inside or outside the hotel. We really hope we can visit Naxos and this special hotel some day again.

They picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off at the airport for no extra charge. Everything was exceptional, best part of our trip was naxos, in no small part due to them!

The entire Grotta team was fantastic! If you are like I was earlier this month and looking for a hotel on Naxos then look no further than Hotel Grotta as it is one of the best places I have ever stayed . Everything about this hotel is class and the attention to detail is second to none as the owners have spared no expense to make this a welcoming and comfortable place to stay . The rooms are really well designed and comfortable and I would recommend a room with a sea view balcony . The hotel has the feel of a private house and that you are part of the family and the staff are lovely and I would like to mention how helpful Connie was at reception at all times , Graziella took our orders at dinner and was really nice as was Kostantino at breakfast . Food was all home cooked and there was the best breakfasts we had during our stay in Greece with a huge selection of Greek pies and dishes . Don’t hesitate book Hoel Grotta as we will during our next visit to Naxos .

Hotel Grotta is a beautiful hotel. The staff treats you like family. Very close to town and port. It’s the perfect location when you visit Naxos. Breakfast was outstanding too. All the staff were wonderful. They were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and generous. We ate to our heart's content every morning. We enjoyed great drinks from the bar and dinner from the kitchen. The house wine, offered complimentary on arrival, was excellent. Cleaning staff left delicious desserts in our room every day. The location is close to the town for convenience, but far away enough to provide a peaceful atmosphere. It was great to sit and enjoy the view of the portara and town.

We absolutely love Hotel Grotta!!! We dream of the elaborate amazing breakfast and the view in the dining room. The room was very comfortable and clean…ours had the most spectacular view. We also enjoyed the pool/hot tub with our private 30 minute soak time. The staff was friendly and helpful, even offering to arrange a rental car which we didn’t know we needed. When we arrived, we were given pastries and beverages and there were pastries waiting for us in the room. if we were to come back to Naxos we would not stay any place but Hotel Grotta… highly, highly recommend this adorable hotel!

Everything! Best accomodation I have ever stayed in without a doubt. The staff were so friendly and lovely, the entire hotel is kept very clean and harmonious. The rooms were simple and very comfortable and the opportunity to have the pool and sauna to ourselves felt like a 5 star resort (at no charge!). We had an amazing family holiday and staying here was a huge part of how much we loved our time in Naxos.

From the moment we entered, we were treated like old friends. Check in was slightly delayed due to our early arrival but they were good at communicating what our options were. We had impeccable service in the lounge, even when they were "closed" We could bring our own bottle of wine, they provided glasses, they offered snacks. The breakfast, as you've probably heard, was incredible. It was a joy to see Nicolette and her team every morning, and they made us feel very at home. We came for our honeymoon and they treated us like royalty!

The people at the Grotta are amazing, they make you feel so welcome. They go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a great experience. The food at the hotel is great; we had dinner at the hotel and really enjoyed it.

The location is good, not in the center of town but an easy 5 minute walk to the center. The staff is sublime: welcoming, well-informed, efficient, incredibly helpful, delightful.

Absolut perfektes Hotel und sehr, sehr schöne Insel. Wir wurden überaus herzlich, zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit betreut. Das war wirklich bemerkenswert und einfach super. Von Nikoletta und dem netten Personal bekommt man alles was man braucht z.B. Tipps bezüglich Stränden, Ausflügen, Mieten von Fahrzeugen, Restaurants usw. Auf diesem Weg möchten wir uns nochmals ganz herzlich bei Nikoletta und ihrem Team für alles bedanken. Es war wirklich super und unvergesslich. Die Zimmer waren immer sehr sauber, an einem Abend hatten wir Wein im Zimmer und an einem anderen Abend stand ein Kuchen im Zimmer. Das Frühstückbuffet war aussergewöhnlich, so etwas haben wir noch nie gesehen. Die Mutter von Nikoletta macht das Meiste selbst und die Auswahl ist riesig…diverse Kuchen, Torten, Quiches, Wähen, dann verschiedene frische Früchte, griechisches Joghurt, Müesli, Milchreis, Brot, Käse, Fleisch, Eier, Tee, Kaffee usw. Also alles was das Herz begehrt. In ca. 15-20 Minuten zu Fuss erreicht man den Strand. Man kann auch mit Bussen an diverse andere schöne Strände fahren. Alle Strände, welche wir gesehen haben, haben uns sehr gut gefallen und das Meer ist überall glasklar, sauber und überall auch bis ins Meer hinein ist es Sand. Ins Zentrum von Naxos Stadt hatten wir ca. 5-10 Minuten zu Fuss. Es ist wirklich ein atemberaubend schönes Städtchen, mit den typischen weissen Häuschen mit blauen Fensterläden und kleinen Gässchen. Es gibt viele Restaurants, Cafés und Geschäfte. Uns hat es überall sehr, sehr gut gefallen und sehr gut geschmeckt. Wenn wir wieder einmal nach Naxos in den Urlaub gehen, buchen wir ganz bestimmt wieder dieses Hotel.

Everything at Hotel Grotta is wonderful, but the above and beyond is the staff -- they are the friendliest, most helpful, knowledgeable, and caring hotel people I have ever had. I like them on a personal level, and they keep me wanting to come back again and again.

Hospitality, kindness, breakfast

By far: the location, the view. Quietly located and yet within walking distance of the center, the restuarants, the harbor, etc.. And indeed, an excellent breakfast.

Nicoletta and her entire staff were AMAZING! Cheerful, kind, and extremely helpful, whether it was setting up transfers from the ferry and to the airport or helping us find the best private tour of the island. The glass of wine and edible treat upon arrival were unexpected and delicious. The view from the breakfast area can't be beat. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom looked brand new. The location is great-walkable to Naxos Town and the harbor. What can I say about the breakfast? Simply the BEST of our entire stay in Greece!

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is the best thing you will eat in a long time. We didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day, it was soooo good.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are fabulous. Nicolette makes you feel like family. Anything you need, just ask and they will help you. Sunsets are wonderful to watch from the roof top with a glass of wine. We would love to return.

The staff at Grotta treats you like family. We were welcomed like long absent friends, fed well and often, and cared for thoughtfully. Nikoleta went out of her way to help us when we made a mistake with our travel plans for which we are immensely grateful.

Staff were always very friendly and made you feel part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble everyone always welcomed you with a smile and a chat. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were the best we had on our holiday in Greece. There was so much choice and everything was home made. View from roof terrace was lovely to watch the sunset.

Staying at the Grotta Hotel is like staying with a loving family! Everyone was so kind, thoughtful and hospitable. Every aspect of the hotel from the outside seating areas with views, to the lobby and dining area & the immaculate and comfortable rooms are spotlessly clean. Our stay was a highlight during our three week trip to Greece!

Everything. Rooms, staff, food, The hotel is run by 12 ladies and you can definitely tell. Always a smile and a warm greeting. Whole hotel is spotless. Free transfers from airport, free welcome drink and snacks on arrival and free breakfast. The breakfast is made by one mama and dinner, not included, is made by another mama. I can tell you that this mama, me, was blown away. All others have said it, beautiful views, short walk to town with shops, restaurants and beaches. There were 6 of us as we brought the kids. Not one complaint from them, which is amazing. I rarely write reviews but had to do it this time. I can't recommend it any higher..

This is a wonderful, immaculate boutique hotel in a great location 5-10 min walk to town, just far enough away to have peaceful nights rest with a fantastic view from the breakfast room. Everything said about the breakfast is true. It is full of homemade delicious dishes, everything and more you could want. Amazing!! I'm still thinking about it! It is the staff and their warm hospitality that made this so extra special, like no other hotel we've been to. From the minute we arrived until the day we departed we were met with the most kind, sincere, fun helpful staff. Hotel Grotta is such a rare gem!
