We had an absolutely splendid view from the top room with our own balcony and terrace area; one of the nicest places we've stayed in for a while. The hotel was new, clean and very tasfully designed; a typical mountain village layout with split-levels and staircases everywhere.
The family running it were very friendly and were willing to go out of their way to help with picking us up from the ferry, taking our bags to the room, hiring a scooter etc.
The pool was just long enough to be able to do some laps in the mornings and there was never an under-supply of sun lounges at the pool. The pool bar had snacks and cold beer - perfect :-)
It's a shame we left Ios to go to Santorini, as it was a dreadful dirty and place choking with exhaust fumes. We should have stayed at this hotel for 3 more nights instead.
It's very difficult to fault this place, but if there were to be some improvements it would be the following:
> mosquito screens on the windows and doors of the rooms (we got bitten a lot leaving the window open; sleeping with the windows closed was stifling)
> breakfast from 9am - this is far too late for us over 40s ;-) (we did manage to get it at 8:30am once)
> the bed for me was a fraction too small and it wasn't possible to hang my feet over the end because of the bed footer (very tasteful beds though complete with high posts on all corners and decorated with ribbons)
